O Spotify celebrou 20 anos a 23 de abril e, para assinalar a data, revelou os artistas, canções e álbuns mais ouvidos ao longo destas duas décadas de história. Com hits como “Cruel Summer”, “Blank Space”, “The Fate of Ophelia” e “Shake It Off”, Taylor Swift é a cantora com mais streams de sempre da plataforma.
Este feito foi alcançado mesmo tendo mantido o seu catálogo fora do serviço de streaming entre novembro de 2014 e junho de 2017. Na altura, Swift protestava contra a falta de compensação que os músicos recebiam pelo seu trabalho.
Em segundo lugar da lista de artistas mais ouvidos do Spotify ficou Bad Bunny, seguindo-se Drake, The Weeknd e Ariana Grande, que fecham o top cinco.
No que diz respeito aos discos, em primeiro lugar está “Un Verano Sin Ti”, de Bad Bunny. Em segundo e terceiro estão “Starboy” (The Weeknd) e “Divide” (Ed Sheeran).
The Weeknd lidera ainda a tabela de canções com mais streams, graças ao hit “Blinding Lights”. Atrás do canadiano está Ed Sheeran, com “Shape of You”, e The Neighbourhood, com “Sweater Weather”.
